Booking, Cancellation and Accommodation Terms & Conditions

Reservation and payment
The total rent will be due for payment right away when the client makes the reservation. After the payment the client will be sent the receipt, the confirmation of the reservation and the contact details of the Haapasaari Holiday Village. Reservation can be paid by credit card or via online banking service.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be made in writing and delivered to Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy / Haapasaari Holiday Village by e-mail, fax or letter. A cancellation will be accepted when Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy receives it. In the event of cancellation being late or failing to arrive, it can still be accepted if the client can verify that the cancellation was made and sent to the correct address in good time. 20 percent of the total rent, or at least the price of one night will be charged for a cancellation of the reservation. If the cancellation is made less than 30 days before the start of the holiday, the whole rent will be charged. If Haapasaari Holiday Village gets the cancelled cottage rented for an other client, the rent will be refunded considering the sum of rent the Holiday Village gets from the other client. The client has the right to reclaim the rent he/she has paid Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy, excluding the 20 percent of the total rent or at least the price of one night, if the cancellation is caused by a sudden illness, serious accident or death – either of the client himself/herself or of a person who lives in the same household as the client. In such a case, the cancellation must be made without delay and the incident must be verified in a suitable way (medical certificate etc.). If the cancellation is made during the holiday, the rent will not be refunded. If the client changes the holiday accommodation or the timing of the holiday, this will be considered as a cancellation of the previous reservation and making of a new one.

The rights of Ruoveden Haapasaaren matkailu Oy to cancel a reservation
In case of a force majeure the owner of the holiday location, Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy, can serve notice of termination of the contract. Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy is responsible for notifying the client about the termination of the contract immediately. In this case the client has the right to be refunded the whole paid rent.

Staying at the holiday location
The holiday accommodation is at the client’s disposal from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival until noon on the day of departure. In the rent of holiday cottages are included pillows, blankets, linen, towels, furniture, cooking equipment and tableware, toilet paper and the final cleaning. In the rent of camping cottages are included pillows, blankets and mattresses (no linen), furniture, final cleaning, the free use of cooking equipment and tableware in the camping kitchen and free use of toilet and shower in the sanitary building.

Compensation for damage
The client is under obligation to compensate Haapasaari Holiday Village for any damage he/she has incurred to the cabin or to the movable property within it.
 
Number of persons

The cottage can not be used by more people than the number of beds provided in the cottage. Permission must be obtained from the Haapasaari Holiday Village for any possible overnight guests. It is prohibited to pitch a tent or keep a caravan on the plot of land surrounding without a permission from Haapasaari Holiday Village.

Possible complaints
The Haapasaari Holiday Village must be informed immediately of any comments or complaints concerning the equipment or condition of the cottage. If the situation does not improve, the client can file a written complaint to Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy. This should happen within a month. If the client and Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy fail to reach an understanding on the matter, the client can take the case to the Consumer Complaint Board.

Renting period
Exceptional renting periods and prices on Easter, Midsummer, Christmas, New Year and on other special holidays.

Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy / Haapasaari Holiday Village is not responsible for any mistakes in brochures or in the Internet. Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy / Haapasaari Holiday Village has the right to make changes after the printing of a brochure or updating the web page.

ONLINE METHODS OF PAYMENT

The services are paid in conjunction with the online order. The following methods of payment are available for the users of the webstore: Nordea, Osuuspankki, Sampo, Tapiola, Aktia, Nooa, Paikallisosuuspankit, Säästöpankit, Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, Ålandsbanken and credit cards. Online payments are made by using the website of Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy.

Payments by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard
If you would like to pay by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard, Ruoveden Haapasaaren Matkailu Oy will act solely as the provider of services. All complaints and claims for compensation will be handled by Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy.

With regard to payments made by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard, Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy acts as the merchant of the services and the trade transaction takes place between the customer and Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy. The seller is liable to meet all the responsibilities related to the trade. Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy is also the recipient of the payment.
